Tala Issaoui

Communications Coordinator

Tala Issaoui is an emerging multidisciplinary mystic artist living on Darug land. Her work explores mysticism through film, music and dance and movement as performance in the experimental form.

Tala holds a Bachelor of Media and Communications (Screen Practice and Production/Moving Image and Sound Studies) from Macquarie University. She was a part of the Utp Rising program by Utp from 2021 – 2023, creating video-based works, installations and a live work. Tala has also created works with JUXTA, which were showcased at the Bankstown Arts Centre in 2022.

In addition, she has exhibited works in gallery spaces such as Puzzle Gallery and Pari. Tala was was also nominated as a finalist for the 2024 Burwood Art Prize. Currently, she is part of the PYT Fairfield Ensemble.

She hopes that she can continue making experimental works, that have a far reach to audiences all over the world.
