Caity Reynolds

Director

Caity Reynolds is an artist, researcher and arts worker who has been living and working on Bundjalung land in Northern New South Wales for the past two years. Prioritising empathy and compassion, she is committed to equity and the pursuit of sustainable working practices for artists and arts workers. She joins Firstdraft after a short stint as the Acting Director of Grafton Regional Gallery having overseen the exhibitions program as the Exhibitions and Collections Officer since 2020.

In 2016 she co-founded Outer Space Contemporary Art in Brisbane alongside Llewellyn Millhouse where they worked together as co-directors until the end of 2019. During this period, she also worked as a sessional academic at Griffith University, Queensland College of Art and across the Moreton Bay Regional Council, Museum and Gallery Network. She has a breadth of experience as an artist, curator and facilitator working with artists, producers and community groups from across Australia including the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery through Hobiennale, Conscious Mic, The Laundry Artspace, The Walls, Clutch Collective, Museums and Galleries Queensland, Arts Northern Rivers, NSW Regional Arts Network, Clarence Valley Rainbow Folk, United Colours amongst many other collaborators.
